" Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know God and God will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the rains of early Spring."
~ Hosea 6:3 NLT, NIV
"God created and sustains the universe, and this powerful being has reached out in love to me. Because of this, I never feel, even amid the worst frustrations, that my life is futile or my work in vain. In its humble details, my life fits into a broader purpose, my tiny efforts and my constant failures caught up in God's patient and elastic plan. I still wrestle daily with fears and anxieties, but when I look to those who have spent many years practicing the presence of God, I see their peace and radiance. So I am coming to trust over the years that God is present to me, attentive to me, that God holds my life in God's hands. Because salvation does not depend on my goodness and has already been accomplished, I can rest secure that this here-and-now process of salvation will culminate in perfect fulfillment. I know that, as Paul wrote to the Colossians (3:3), my 'life is hidden in Christ with God.' It is kept safe."
